The annual Somali Hope Foundation Gala is “live and in-person” this year, featuring a tremendous program for the more than 300 supporters in attendance.

The Gala is a very popular event with the Ottawa Somali community and its supporters. It is an opportunity for everyone to have a terrific evening while raising funds for a worthy cause – providing free, high quality and equitable education to girls and boys in rural Somalia.

The Somali Hope Foundation is happy to share that Sabrina Dhowre Elba is the Keynote Speaker for this year’s Gala! In 2022, Sabrina visited Hope Academy in Bursalah, Somalia and saw first-hand the important and impressive work being done at our schools. She is a UN Goodwill Ambassador for IFAD, philanthropist, activist, actress and model.
